Potty Training Success!

I have been meaning to post this for about a month or so but just been to lazy to do it. My 3 year old is officially potty trained. At first I thought it might take even longer then what I expected but something just clicked one day with her and she went to her potty every single time. It's like a big relief has been lifted off of my shoulders. Finally I can stop purchasing pull ups and just stick with the undies. I have been able to take her anywhere I need to go and she has kept herself dry at all times. She has only had a few accidents and they all happened at home. But if we go anywhere we make her use the potty before we leave the house.

When she first turned 2 that is when we introduced her to her potty chair. She was showing the signs of being ready. It took awhile then she finally started using the potty once in awhile. Then we went through a dry spell where she didn't want anything to do with it so I didn't push it. Finally we got her back on track but she got lazy and would just get frustrated if we told her to go potty. Then finally a few months before she turned 3 something happened and she would say "Oh! I gotta potty" then run to her potty. I think because I made her walk around the house with no pull ups she realized she didn't want to wet herself.  A bigger surprise is that nighttime was a breeze. So parents keep your head up and don't give up. It can be done! I can proudly now say that I am completely done with diapers and pull ups for the rest of my life lol.

Potty stop while traveling

Oh no, your traveling down the road on vacation and you hear a voice hollering. "Mom Potty Now!" from your little boy. Your first thought is where is the nearest stop but you know the bathrooms are filthy or especially it just can't wait another 10 miles. So what are you to do? All of the bottles you had are already thrown out and no one is willing to sacrifice their drink for the call of nature. Have no fear mom, the number one cup is to the rescue.

Very sturdy bottle with screw top lid and see through so you know what is in there. Plus it has a cute cross bone image on one side to let you know don't drink! Another feature is it came with 3 wet wipes for clean up. It is leak proof so have no fear of the urine getting anywhere. I really love this container, although I may not have any young boys in the family I do have my husband. He is the worst of having to make a stop on the go. We parents know that there is times that you just don't have a facility close by or even a clean one for that matter. Retails 14.95

Potty Training Tips

If you are a new parent, then I am sure that you have realized at some point, potty training will be on the agenda. Potty training can be confusing to the ones who haven't had to do it before. Or maybe the way it worked for one of your kids, isn't working for this one. Don't worry, I have the answer to your problem.

"Oh Crap! Potty Training", is a very informative but yet humorous book. It covers the entire process from beginning to end. I find that it has a very positive outlook to the whole process and walks you through preparing and the mental readiness. I like also how this book covers some of the "myths and facts" that most struggle with. I myself am trying this book out for my self to get my youngest out of pull ups and into the big girls stage. She is wanting to be the stubborn one and only go when she feels like it.

If you would like to purchase the book, you can do so here.
