Brownies with Pistachios & Nocciolata

Super delicious and creamy and I could just slather it on toast with peanut butter. It has a nice rich taste too it and you can not even tell that its dairy free. But if you want the one with dairy they do have it.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup Nocciolata
2/3 cup flour
2 tbsp. potato starch
1 stick + 3 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup pistachios

for the decoration:
custard
powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS:

1. Melt Nocciolata and butter on top of a bowl with boiling water.
2. Whip together egg and sugar in another bowl.
3. Add the flour, potato starch and the baking powder, previously mixed together.
4. Gently mix in the pistachios.
5. Butter a rectangular baking pan. Pour the mixture and let it stand in the fridge for a few minutes. Bake in the oven at 350°F for 20 minutes.
6. Cool and cut into squares.

I was sent some very adorable books to review. One is a coloring book and the other is what you would call a guide to lifestyle book for pre-teens. Both are very elaborate and beautiful also detailed. The coloring book is very sturdy compared to most and almost reminds me of a journal. The guide covers so many things a young soon to be teenager would like to know. Examples: babysitting, guys and how to guides on other interesting things. My house has been a everlasting bomb of sneezes going off. It's terrible, I can't stand it and neither can my kids. My little girls who are ages 10, 7, 4 and terrible seasonal allergies. Mainly just the pollen and the weather flipping around crazy like. It came at the perfect time and I am already in love with it. So getting out of the box I noticed there was not a lot of assembly work to do. Just read the manual which is very important! Then take the side off and pull your filters out and take the plastic off of them first. Then put them back in the correct order as the guide tells you. The find a good open clear spot to sit it and plug it up. The settings are super easy to figure out and use. You can set the timer for the air purifier to go off at either 2, 4 or 6 hours. It also has three other settings to choose from. Germ cleaning which is perfect for cold and flu season. Then next up is the general air cleaning, helps eliminate any odors in the air and dust. Next up is the allergen setting. This takes care of anything floating in the air to cause your indoor allergies to go crazy. It is low noise when on these settings. But when you switch it to turbo its doing a all over cleaning for the air. Yes it does get a little louder but not to bad. It does a great job and I love showing it off. I has helped keep the dust down from my AC filter area.

Had that awesome cork affect when i popped it off and the bubbles oozing over. The taste was impeccable,compared to any other white wines I have tried. The basket also comes with a cheese, matching crackers, gourmet cookies and a few other sweets. You could not turn this down. But have no fear! Honestly I know must other people may not like wine but they do have craft beer baskets or even gardening ones! Not to mention the basket that came with mine is reusable. Family or Pet have your carpets funky?

Spring is here and it's out with the old and in with the new. As well with keeping up with the rest of your daily or weekly house chores. Trust me, I feel your pain and know what your going through. With three girls and a boyfriend that works around all kinds of dusty things, my carpets get bad. With that being said, I need a top notch vacuum. Thankfully, I was able to get my hands on a Dyson Ball Animal 2.

The cleaning power on this is amazing. I love it and how well it does on picking up on my floors. Yes there was a little assembly involved with pulling it out of the box. But don't let that deter you from owning one.

First impression when I pulled it from the box was, geez I hope i put it together right. Thankfully there is a booklet with it and a hanging directions on handle. I got it all put together which wasn't hard at all. Looked it over and was very pleased at how sturdy it was. The attachments all fit where they need to without falling off. The brush that spins is a bit different then most vacuums out there. It doesn't have several rows of bristles. Even though it doesn't have that, the suction plus the fast spinning head picks up really well.

There is a hose that you can use to get your corners as well as doing upholstery. That as well has great use and way better in my opinion then the competitors out there. I love the color also. The only thing that I'm not use to is the weight. It is a little heavy so it takes some extra push with me to move it around. But with the ball that maneuvers it, you can turn it as you please. This is my second Dyson vacuum and they have yet to let me down.

The storybook has vivid pages with lots of things for you and your child to interact with.  There is also stickers for you to place on certain pages to complete puzzles and mazes. The whole book incorporates how we deal with being scared and what we can do. The other kit is a cute little notebook that has a spinner where she can show me how she is feeling. Inside are pages to read or draw on. Kit also comes with big crayons for those little hands.

Flair for your bathroom or kitchen

Don't Speak Book Review

So I have another interesting book to tell everyone about. It's called "Don't Speak" by J. L. Brown. It is quite riveting and keeps you on your toes with each chapter. If you are interested in murder mystery type of books then this would be a fun read. At first glance I wasn't sure if I would like the book, especially because the title and cover do not catch my eye. However it truly fooled me once I started reading. Kept me on the edge of my seat. It is very well laid out and keeps you aware of what's happening in the story. The only thing I kind of was disappointed about was the length of the chapters. The chapters were super short so that really threw me off. Other then that its a great read with giving you a great feel for the killer in the story and what he felt.

How my pet and I enjoyed National Bacon Day

My Pomeranian (Bear) and I are the best of buddies. What makes him happy, makes me happy. Between my parents and myself we spoil him rotten with treats and toys. You might as well say he is like another child. When I heard about National Bacon Day I knew I needed to make it special for him. That's when  Pup-Peroni surprised us with a box full of goodies for us to enjoy. Bear was super excited when he saw all his new toys especially his snazzy Pup-Peroni bandana!

When we pulled out the bag of Pup-Peroni's Filet Mignon & Bacon Flavors Dog Snacks he went crazy. Dancing around and begging! He finally got a taste he just could not get enough! View the pictures and see for yourself.

This post is a tad overdue, some my fault and other due to unforeseen events. But anyways back to the question. Have you visited your IHOP restaurant lately? New menu items have been added for you to explore. Whether you are looking for sweet or that savory down home breakfast taste, they have you covered! IHOP is a fun treat for my family, even if its just a couple of us while the older ones are at school! Friendly atmosphere with lots of flair and the staff are on their toes to make sure you are well taken care of.

IHOP's latest addition to the menu are the Criss-Croissants! So many different flavors and colors to wow the eye and mouth! Choices are the: Salted Caramel&Banana, Spinach&Roasted Red Pepper and last but not least the Strawberries&Sweet Cream Cheese. Man oh man did they look really good. Of course I ended up settling for a more traditional approach and got scrambled eggs with toast and sausage and that was just as good! My wee one who hasn't started school yet snagged her daddy's side of pancakes and coated it with two different flavors of syrup. (Just so you know, that is another favorite thing of mine with IHOP. You have like 4 or 5 syrups at your table! Go Nuts!) Plus they give back to where its important! Bluetooth Speakers for Kids

I recently bought my oldest two daughters a Kindle Fire, one for each of them. Which has been a God send item when I need to get them out of my hair lol. Over time I have noticed that the sound just isn't that great when listening to music or the sound from a movie. I am sure many of you have dealt with that too. Maybe would like to get their child a hip new add on with their Ipod or electronic item. 

Recently I got my hands on 2 Dreamwave Bubble Pods. Moms and Dads, this is the best portable blue-tooth speaker to get for your child. I love how well built they are and so sturdy. If you happen to accidentally drop it or your child knocks it around, it will be ok. Another handy feature is the loop on the top of the speaker. Just find you a clip and loop it through that top part to use it on strollers or book-bags. This makes it ideal to use on your jogging stroller for a nice run. The buttons are easy on the fingers and to push. One button is to power on and others are for volume and to pause it. If you look at the bottom of the speaker you will find the port to charge. It has a cover over the port so no worries.

Now on to the sound of the Bubble Pod. I can not believe how amazing the sound is! Does not sound glitchy or static like. Fully puts out enough to fill the room, you would think you had a stereo in your room. This is ideal for your kids to hook up to tablets and phones and whatever else. Super easy to link up to my phone. It shows up on your blue-tooth device list as bubble pod. The packaging was another great feature. The speaker was neatly packed and secured in. When you lift the tray where the speaker is, you find the charging cord.

Kids camps have started. Be Bug prepared!

Mom's lets face it, I know you are or have sent your child off to summer camp. Name one thing you dread about while they are there and what happens when you get home. Purex® plus Clorox 2® detergent

Moms face crazy stains all the time.  Whether it be food stains to the dreaded poop, we need something that will kick butt! At least once to twice a week I deal with a stain from my three girls. I honestly believe within the 10 years of being a mom, I have seen every stain known to man kind. Finally there is hope in my world of laundry. When I got my package in the mail and found the Purex plus Clorox 2, it was like angels were singing. Could it possibly be? Something to eliminate all the crazy stains?!

Within the next day I took the test. My daughters had been playing in the dirt in their good jeans. I was concerned that the stain had won the fight. That it would not come out after setting in for a day or so. I popped the top of the Purex and a wonderful enticing clean smell filled my nose. With a beautiful deep blue color of detergent to go along with it. The cap showed me the mark I needed to fill to with my load size. I threw the clothes in and added my detergent and softener and hit start. Only with curiosity dancing around in my head for the outcome.

Time finally approached and I pulled the clothes out of the washer. So far so good with the smell of my clothes. Everything felt and smelt clean. Finally I reached the moment of truth. I found the jeans and pulled them open. Not one speck of dirt or mud was to be seen. I immediately felt relief. I could not wait to see the full view after being dry. After the drying was done, all of my clothes look amazing. Not one thing could I complain about.
